How Will the Championship Be Held?
You will have your registration checked when you enter the event.
You will be taken to the main hall and seated at a random table with participants.
Maximum 10 people plus a moderator will be seated per table.
Once all participants have gathered, the game host will perform a speech warm-up and share some effective strategies for clear communication without fluff, which will be essential for the championship.
The table moderator will introduce you to the rules of QED game – which was to be proved.
Take a look at the rules in advance:
The game consists of 3 levels:
Green Level: A word you need to define
Yellow Level: A question needed to be answered
Red Level: A controversial issue requiring you to take a «side» and prove your viewpoint
The table moderator randomly selects a player to start, and suggests pressing the green button in QED Telegram bot, where the AI will choose a topic for the game from 1000 options.
After the topic is selected, a 60-second countdown begins for all participants to prepare their speech.
Each participant will speak for 1 minute moving clockwise starting with the selected player.
After all presentations are done a blind vote takes place to choose the best performance of the first round.
The participant with the highest number of votes will be declared the best. If two or more participants receive the same number of votes, a battle will be announced. In the battle, participants will speak for 30 seconds on bot chosen topic without preparation.
Both Yellow and Red levels suppose the same mechanics: 1 minute for preparation and 1 minute for the speech.
Once 3 winners are determined from each table, they proceed to the semifinal stage. For example, for 100 participants there will be 30 semifinalists. The participants who did not pass further may act as supporters.
Three tables of 10 people each are composed, and the game is repeated: Green, Yellow, and Red levels.
Nine finalists are determined. Three jury members – leaders in public speaking and personal branding fields, as well as public figures and officials – will be invited to evaluate the finalists' performances.
The 9 finalists will repeat the game mechanics: Green, Yellow, and Red levels.
Winners are awarded with cups for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. The winner titleholder will be invited as a speaker at the WBP conference, which will take place on December 14 at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The jury moves off for 15 minutes to make a decision.
Participants can be school students aged 10−17
Three-person teams should be assembled for the qualification stage
